What I expected from the Hard Right was not on display.

What I saw instead was a fresh dose of Roeder Syndrome.

Do you remember when Roeder killed Tiller, and the first folks out with admonitions, the people running the fastest away from Roeder, were the people who agreed with the result?  Pro-Life groups reacted so fast to the Tiller killing that you'd think they had a Press Release on file and ready, just in case it ever happened.  It is hard to find a less sincere case of Political Correctness in action than what I have termed Roeder Syndrome.

Until today.

It is obvious that most on the Hard Right who yell the loudest simply do not have what it takes to stand tall in a genuine Ruckus.  Concerned American started a very important discussion recently about CF & CV considerations.

Well, CV was on full display in Arizona, and it seems many on our side have no stomach for reality when it leaves the ether.  Anyone envisioning 3% of any population on the Right in the field for Restoration will be sadly disappointed and lonely on game day.

Folks, if you are not in the mood to read a stark analysis about this event and the Hard Right that has no sugarcoating, click off now.  Everything beyond this point is meant for those among us who talk tough without always considering the real-world ramifications.  I don't care if you may be offended. If anything below resembles your actions, check yourself.  If it doesn't reflect what you did in response to Arizona, then it isn't about you.

If you do not think I should critique our side, leave.  Do not return to my page.  I am not here for your approval.  I am not here for popularity or web stats.  I'd rather have 500 serious, hard, thinking Patriots who mean business read this site than thousands of Keyboard Commandoes who end up hiding and wetting their panties and playing CYA when SHTF.

I am here for Restoration.

Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way.

Bill, AP, CA, China, Mayberry, MM, TL and a few others have their heads on straight. (Just because I didn't name you here, don't think I automatically lump you in with the folks I'm talking about below)

What I have seen on the Hard Right since yesterday will lead any seasoned LEO or political player to scoff and dismiss most of us as less than serious people.  The most vocal of the Hard Right were offered an opportunity to show their mettle, and instead showed something far more disconcerting: Fear.

Here is what happened yesterday in Arizona: A sick kid (legitimately ill with a broken brain) targeted and killed members of the Political Class.  He may have been manipulated by a Handler for political reasons, we shall see.

There was collateral damage.  There will be political fallout, as both sides will do as they always do: Jockey for the most political gain from a set of circumstances.

End of story.

I've visited (almost) every III and Hard Right blog/column/site I can find during the last 24 hours. (A few I deliberately avoided)

Responses from the Hard Right range from intellectual honesty, to no comment, to those who immediately showcased for the world how the violence in Arizona affects the all-important me (rhetorical) to stunningly hypocritical and fear-driven denouncements of such violence, regardless of political views (Tiller, anyone?)

Are you f'n kidding me?

Really? 

Isn't this exactly what many Patriots on the Hard Right have been claiming is our only option? 

Revolution is the only remedy...

Political remedies are impossible. 

Second Amendment remedies are all we have left. 

Political energy is wasted and pointless, even for the necessary fails.  

This is all over the Hard Right.

And when it happens, or at least the result happens, regardless of the means, some of our guys run from it.

Just what the hell do you think Second Amendment remedy means?  Just what the hell do you think political violence looks like?  It looks like dead people killed by other people for their political views and actions, with a side dish of collateral damage that includes 9 year old kids who just happen to be in the way.

That is what you call for with every complaint you leave on every blog calling for action.

Yet some of the Hard Right spent the day running as fast as they could from the violence they have been advocating as the only course left for America!  Several on our side dived into any hole they could find to hide from scrutiny, claiming "It wasn't me!  I didn't call for that!"

Did you change your heart, or merely get scared?  Admit it either way, but for the sake of the republic stop trying to revise the history you've been writing all over the internet!  It takes just a few minutes to find 100 posts and even more comments on Hard Right sites advocating such action as the only viable path to Restoration. 

A bit of intellectual honesty would be very refreshing.  If you advocate violence, just have the spine to own it!

A bit of real courage would be nice in the harmless and safe world of the ether, for in the field courage is mandatory.  If you can't be brave and strong online, who in their right mind would ever conclude you will be brave when tracer rounds start identifying your position?

Oh, you don't advocate that violence.  You advocate the other violence.  Sorry, you do not have that luxury.  When you start a ruckus over politics (or religion or breeding partners), even folks who don't want any part of it get hurt. 

You can't unring that bell. 

Ask anyone who's ever been there.

America is not at a point where such political violence is justified.  Period.  None of those people should have been violently attacked today for their political positions or actions.

But if you truly believe that we are at a point where such actions are justified, then stand by your words and your line in the sand.  Indeed, if you think we are there, announce yourself and get in the field.  You should be cheerleading the event in Arizona as progress.

I did not find one instance where any Patriot who has advocated that we are ready for violence against political targets had the mettle to applaud the end, regardless of the means. 

That, my friends, is intellectual cowardice.

If you do not have the courage to stand by your rhetoric, then please STFU and stop feeding easy PR ammunition to our enemies.  If you are going to advocate violence for X goal, and then wet your pants and try to distance yourself when a real event happens and LEO starts turning their gaze in your direction, perhaps you should STFU in the first place.

Authentic political violence is deliberate and performed by those with rational minds and on behalf of their convictions.  Today's actions are not authentic political violence (because Loughner is ill), but it sure looks the same.  It is ugly and it is final.

There is damn good reason why experienced men caution that violence can only be the last resort.

Stop advocating violence until you are ready to go to work yourself.  It's that simple.
